Danny R. Lovett, 63, of Toledo passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at his home. Born April 11, 1952 in Lumberton, NC he was the son of James and Dorothy (Cox) Lovett. On April 28, 1972 he and Janice F. Johnson were united in marriage in North Carolina. Danny worked for Miller Farm Service and did various construction jobs. He was an active member of the Liberty Life Church in Mattoon. He also enjoyed playing his guitar and had a passion for the outdoors.
Surviving are his wife Janice of Toledo; eight children Tony (Tori) Lovett of Cookeville, TN, Bonnie (Matthew) Jones of Tilton, Gary (Michelle) Lovett of Windsor, Sharon (Shad) Dierkens of Toledo, Joan Lovett, Jason (Sandra) Lovett, Dannie (Christina) Lovett and Jessica Lovett all of Mattoon; 21 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters Shirley (W.K.) Lewis, Julie (Bruce) Majors; brother Timmy Lovett; half-brother Billy Krueger and half-sister Tammi Falck. Preceding him in death were his grandmother Lee, parents and a brother J.L. “Buddy” Lovett.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with Pastor Lonnie Stewart officiating. Visitation will be Monday 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Windsor Cemetery.
