According to WTWO, Dallas Police responded to an anonymous threat against law enforcement across the city. The police took precautionary measures, including a city-wide roll call to make sure all DPD officers were safe. WFAA Television and other Dallas media reported that police headquarters was placed in lock down just after 4:00 pm, but Dallas Police later said that the building was not in lock down. Multiple sources said Dallas SWAT was deployed.
Just after the threat, the Dallas Morning News reported on its website that a suspicious man was spotted in a parking garage behind police headquarters. SWAT officers searched the building, but no suspect was found.
