Illinois schools are being promised all of their school money this year. But many superintendents are taking a ‘wait and see’ approach. The stopgap state budget is supposed to spend six-thousand 119-dollars per student this year. That would mean millions more for local schools. But many superintendents say they’re not ready to spend the money because they fear becoming too dependent on temporary dollars from the state.
