Illinois is receiving nearly $1.4 million in federal funds to help seasonal farm workers with housing and job training. It is part of $81 million in funds being distributed nationwide as part of the U.S. Department of Labor’s farm worker jobs program. The Illinois Migrant Council will use the money to help agricultural workers and their families learn new skills and have better housing options.
