The stopgap budget that Illinois politicians put through earlier this month has freed up money from colleges across the state, but Eastern Illinois University officials still plan on continuing with cost cutting measures into the upcoming new semester. The state appropriated $26.2 million dollars to EIU along with funding for MAP grants.
