The Illinois House is breathing new life into the state’s corporate tax incentive program that expired at the end of 2016. The House approved a four-month extension of the so-called EDGE program that rewards companies that create or maintain jobs. If the Senate approves, it will be up to Governor Rauner to decide whether to keep the program he once suspended, but has since used to induce companies to stay and expand in Illinois.
