Federal Judge To Rule On Steps In NFL’s Concussion Case
(Philadelphia, PA) — A federal judge in Philadelphia is holding a hearing today on the NFL’s huge concussion settlement. The step comes after the U.S. Supreme Court denied a request in December to review the league’s agreement with retired players. The estimated one-billion-dollar settlement covers former players suffering from conditions including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and ALS. Today’s hearing is expected to clear the way for players to start receiving payouts.
