On Monday, February 13, 2017, Task Force 6, with assistance from the Clinton Police Department, DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Department Of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, arrested Robert H. Hawkins, 42, and Tomeco T. Hawkins, 41, both of Clinton, Illinois, for unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, Class 3 felonies. Both posted $1,000 bond and were released. If convicted of a class 3 felony, the sentencing ranges from probation up to 5 years incarceration in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Task Force 6 is a multi-agency enforcement unit specializing in narcotics enforcement. Task Force 6 is composed of officers from Clinton Police Department, DeWitt County Sheriff’s Department, McLean County Sheriff’s Department, Piatt County Sheriff’s Department, Illinois State University Police Department, and the Illinois State Police.
