Bomb Explodes At Pakistani Protest Rally
(Lahore, Pakistan) — Pakistani police say at least ten people are dead and many are injured after a large bomb tore through a crowd at a protest rally today in the city of Lahore. Various reports say the bomb went off outside the Punjab Assembly. Several people were injured including police and journalists covering the protest by chemists and pharmacists over a new drug control act. So far, no groups have claimed responsibility for the blast. Rescuers responded immediately to the scene. On Easter Sunday last year, a bomb went off killing 75 people. The Taliban took responsibility for that blast.
