Apollo 11 Command Module To Launch Road Trip
(Undated) — The spacecraft that carried the first men to the moon is counting down to launch on a road trip. The command module for the Apollo 11 mission will be on display at four museums around the U.S. over two years, winding up in Seattle to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the July, 1969 flight that put Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the moon. The tour NASA announced yesterday is called Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission. It begins at the Houston Space Center, from this coming October to March of next year. It will be in St. Louis from April to September of 2018, in Pittsburgh from the fall of 2018 to February of 2019, and in Seattle from March to September of 2019.
