Charleston Community Theatre concludes its season with Arthur Miller’s classic drama, Death of a Salesman in a new performance space, the lower level of Charleston Elks Lodge #623, 720 6th Street. This Pulitzer and Tony Award winning play will be presented March 31, April 1, 6, 7, 8 at 7:30 p.m. and at a matinee on April 2 at 2:00 p.m. Reservations may be made by calling 1-877-842-3267 or online here. Death of a Salesman, directed by David Stevens, is considered a masterpiece of the American theatre. The story revolves around Willy Loman (Earl Halbe) a failing salesman who cannot understand how he failed to win success and happiness. Through a series of tragic soul-searching revelations of the life he has lived with his wife (Tracy Harpster), sons Biff (Ryan Mulvaney) and Happy (Zach Merritt), and his business associates, we discover how Willy’s quest for the “American Dream” kept him blind to the people who truly love him. The cast also includes Ann Morris Bruehler, Ian Cunningham, Kevin Gaither, Jeri Matteson Hughes, Danae Ledbetter, Tim Mason, Jana Messer, Jon Schubert, Ron Stoner, and Chuck Trent.
