(Seoul) — U.S. officials confirm that North Korea has launched another ballistic missile. The missile was launched from an area north of Pyongyang early Saturday. The medium-range missile exploded shortly after take off about 20 miles from the launch site. It did not make it to the Sea of Japan. The White House released a brief statement saying, “The administration is aware of the most recent North Korean missile test. The President has been briefed.”
Earlier today, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told the UN Security Council that North Korea was moving the world close to a nuclear conflict. In an interview with Reuters yesterday, President Trump warned the U.S. and North Korea could be headed toward a major conflict over the North’s nuclear weapons program.
