Three In Custody After Two Officers Are Shot
(Chicago, IL) — Chicago police are continuing to question three people and are searching for others who may have been involved in the overnight shooting of two plain clothes officers on the city’s South Side. Authorities say the cops were sitting in an unmarked car in the 43 hundred block of South Ashland before they saw a silver van shooting at another vehicle. An officer was shot in both the leg and hip with a high-powered weapon, while the other was wounded in the back. Their injuries are not life-threatening.
