Regional softball: Calla Roney fired a no-hitter, while striking out 11 as Windsor/Stew-Stras beat Ramsey, 16-0, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond blanked Arcola, 7-0, Altamont needed nine innings to get by St. Elmo/Brownstown, 10-9, Fisher eliminated Tri-County, 14-0, Liberty Dunaway threw a perfect game, leading Cumberland to a 17-0 rout of Dieterich, Neoga advanced to the championship game with an 8-3 win over St. Anthony, Tuscola doubled up Marshall, 6-3, Pana lost to Meridian, 16-1, Flora shut out Lawrenceville, 14-0, and Sullivan bowed out with a 9-6 loss to Carlyle.
Girls’ regional soccer: Mattoon season’s came to an end with a 6-1 loss to Champaign Central. Charleston shut out Danville, 3-0 to advance to the championship Friday evening against Central.
Regular season baseball: Mattoon put eight on the board in the first inning and cruised to a 15-1 win over Urbana. Charleston beat Mahomet-Seymour, 11-6, their 20th win of the season.
