Nidec Pool Motors Recalled Due To Electric Shock Hazard
(Washington, DC) – About 16-thousand Nidec brand swimming pool motors are being recalled because of an electrical shock hazard. Federal safety regulators say the pump’s control cover can be improperly grounded posing the risk of electrical shock. The faulty pumps were sold by Leslie’s Pool Supply and other wholesale pool suppliers from September 2010 through October 2016. No injuries have been reported, but consumers should immediately stop using the motors and contact the company for a free repair.
