According to a MPD press release, the Mattoon police and Coles County Crimestoppers seek the identity of the two persons in the attached picture. The two men are persons of interest regarding two car burglaries that occurred on July 7th in Mattoon. The first incident was reported at 10:10 a.m. and occurred at Lytle Park. A car window was smashed and items were taken from within the vehicle. The second incident occurred at approx. 4:00 p.m. in the 300 block of Richmond Avenue East, in the parking lot of Planet Fitness. A car window was shattered during that incident as well.
Purses, credit cards and checks were stolen during these vehicle burglaries. Police would like to interview the two men in this picture.
