Giants Release Bowie Following Domestic Assault Charge
(East Rutherford, NJ) — The New York Giants are parting ways with offensive lineman Michael Bowie after he was charged with domestic assault and battery in Oklahoma. Bowie turned himself in on Monday after a warrant was issued last week. The 25-year-old has also been charged with two counts of malicious injury or destruction of property. The charges stem from an incident with his girlfriend, in which he is accused of grabbing her by the neck and tossing her to the ground. He then broke two televisions and punched a hole in the wall. Bowie has appeared in just nine career games, with Seattle in 2013.
