Lake Land College’s Adult Education is offering free food sanitation classes at various locations for the first 12 applicants who register.
Those who complete the course will receive a Food Protection Manager certification, which is valid for five years. While there is no cost to attend the classes, the test costs $36.
The class locations and dates are as follows:
- Western Region Center, 600 E. First St., Pana – Fridays, Oct. 20 and 27, 5-9:30 p.m.
- Kluthe Center for Higher Education and Technology, 1204 Network Centre Blvd., Effingham – Saturdays, Oct. 28 and Nov. 4, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
- Lake Land College, Workforce Development Center, 305 Richmond Ave. E., Mattoon – Saturdays, Dec. 2 and 9, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
