(New York, NY) — Governor Andrew Cuomo is directing state police to step up security at New York’s airports, bridges, tunnels and mass transit systems. He says it’s out of an abundance of caution following this morning’s terror bombing on a London subway train. No one was killed by the improvised device, but as many as two dozen people were injured. Some were burned while others were trampled in the stampede that ensued. Cuomo condemned the attack as “cowardly” and what he called a “sobering reminder of the threats we face today.” It comes just two days before the one-year anniversary of bombing incidents in Chelsea and at the Jersey Shore.

(Washington, DC) — The White House is condemning today’s terror attack on a London subway. In a briefing at the White House today, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee called it horrific. Joining Sanders at the podium, National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster said it was a cowardly attack. At least 22 people were injured in London’s Parsons Green Station after an explosion.

May said it was not helpful for anyone to start speculating about an investigation that is just underway. At least 22 people were injured in London’s Parsons Green Station. Trump jumped on Twitter after initial reports about the blast and blamed the explosion on a loser terrorist. He referred to sick and demented people and said they were in the sights of Scotland Yard. Later London officials confirmed that they were investigating the blast as a “terrorist incident.”

(New York, NY) — The NYPD says it’s closely monitoring what London Police are calling a terror attack. There are multiple reports that at least 18 people were hurt when an improvised explosive device went off on an underground train. It happened at the height of the morning rush, with some commuters trampled as they panicked trying to get out. Police Commissioner James O’Neill tweeted that while there are no direct threats to New York, people should always remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings. (London) — The mayor of London is condemning what he calls hideous terrorism after this morning’s explosion on a packed rush hour train. Mayor Sadiq Khan issued a statement on Facebook saying London condemns individuals who attempt to use terror to destroy our way of life. Khan said we will never be intimidated or defeated by terrorism, and urged all Londoners to remain calm and vigilant.
Witnesses on the tube train in London’s Parsons Green Station reported an explosion, fire and people suffering burns. Police evacuated the area and are treating the incident as terrorism. (London) — Police in London are treating this morning’s explosion on a subway train as a terror attack. Several people are injured. Witnesses say some people were trampled when panicked passengers rushed to get off the train. About 50 firefighters are at the Parsons Green station in West London, along with dozens of police officers. The London Ambulance Service said in a statement that paramedics are working to see how many people are injured, and how seriously.
