Kenny Chesney Helps Irma Family
(Philadelphia, PA) — Kenny Chesney is being credited with helping two Virgin Island teens escape the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.
The Bruce brothers survived the massive hurricane hiding in a bathtub. Once the storm passed they joined a national evacuation registry that would help them relocate to Philadelphia, to stay with extended family. When those plans fell through, Kenny Chesney jumped into action. The country music star, who has a home in the US Virgin Islands, donated his private plane to transport the brothers to the US. The teens say they are thankful to Chesney, and may even start listening to country music.
