McCain Says Doctors Gave Him ‘Poor’ Prognosis On Brain Cancer
(Phoenix, AZ) — Senator John McCain says doctors are giving him a “poor prognosis” in his battle against brain cancer. The Arizona Republican gave his grim diagnosis before a national audience last night on the CBS News magazine “60 Minutes.” McCain says doctors told him his cancer “is very, very serious.” McCain also revealed that when he dies, he wants his memorial service at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The 81-year-old says he just wants to have a couple of people stand up during the service and say, “This guy, he served his country.”
On July 14th, McCain underwent emergency brain surgery to address a blood clot that was later revealed to be associated with glioblastoma, a deadly kind of brain cancer.
