Lawmakers Return To Springfield To Start Veto Session
(Springfield, IL) — It could be a very busy week in Springfield. Or Illinois lawmakers could just talk about the state’s issues. Lawmakers are due back at the statehouse today for the first week of the two week fall veto session. There are a number of issues that could come up, everything from new gun control proposals to overriding Governor Rauner on a government transparency law. But there is an equal chance that lawmakers will wait til next month to take any action.
