Almost Five Thousand People Weigh In On Illinois Rest Stops
(Springfield, IL) — A lot of people in Illinois have strong opinions about rest stops in the state. The Illinois Department of Transportation last week said about 45 hundred people responded to a new statewide, rest stop survey over the past two weeks. The state wants to know what people would like to see at the stops, which need to be repaired, and which could be closed. IDOT says some of the rest stops and welcome centers are nearly 40-years-old and getting close to the ‘end of their useful lives.’
