(Sutherland Springs, TX) — President Trump is ordering flags to fly at half-staff in honor of the victims of the deadly mass shooting at a church in South Texas. In a presidential proclamation, Trump said we are deeply saddened by the shooting that took at least 26 lives in Sutherland Springs, which is about 40 miles southeast of San Antonio. Flags at all public buildings, military posts and embassies will fly at half-staff until November 9th. Earlier, while speaking in Japan, President Trump said there are no words for the pain everyone feels. He said Americans will pull together to overcome the shooting.
