Andrew T. “Andy” Icenogle, 50, of Bessemer, AL and formerly of Toledo, IL passed on November 22, 2017 at his home surrounded by his friends and family after a long battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday December 3rd 2017 at the Cottonwood United Methodist Church rural Toledo, IL. Burial will be in the Janesville cemetery at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo is assisting the family.
He was born April 10, 1967 to Ronald T. and Evelyn Sue (Padrick) Icenogle. He attended Cumberland Schools and graduated from Cumberland High School. He then graduated from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa and worked in retail management and regional hotel management until he became ill.
He joined William G. Wesson, a wonderful companion and caregiver. He is survived by Bill Wesson, his mother Evelyn Sue Icenogle; sisters Sonja (Berlin) Peters and Jennifer Icenogle; nieces Aften (Zach) Backlin, Kaitlyn and Elise Peters; nephew Brennan (Cheyenne) Peters; great nephews Braeden and Branch Peters; Uncle Dan (Jan) Icenogle, Don and Chuck Padrick and little dog Pixie. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents Elmer and Thelma Icenogle and Scott and Esther Padrick.
Andy enjoyed life to the fullest, traveling and especially going to the beach. He loved watching Alabama football. His hobby was wood working and he made many beautiful items and primitive items from wood.
Andy was a generous, caring and compassionate person who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
