(Washington, DC) — The House is voting to move the Republican tax plan to a conference committee with the Senate. There was some drama as some conservative members of the House Freedom Caucus briefly withheld their support for the procedural vote on the next step for the two tax reform bills from the House and Senate. Negotiators from both houses of Congress will meet to hammer out the differences in each of their tax reform bills. The Senate just passed its version last weekend. President Trump is hoping to sign a major tax reform package before Christmas.
