SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (February 14, 2018)—McDonald’s® Restaurants of Central Illinois and its local Owner/Operators will be providing support to Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Illinois (RMHCCI) through the annual Give a Little Love promotion again this year.
To “Give a Little Love,” customers are asked to donate $1 or more at participating McDonald’s restaurants in central Illinois, beginning Thursday, February 1 through Friday, February 23. One hundred percent of the proceeds will stay local and benefit families served by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois. In 2017, more than $200,000 was raised during the Give a Little Love promotion.
“It’s amazing to see members in our community come together to help the families and support the work of the Ronald McDonald House, and as Owner/Operators we’re proud to be a part of that effort,” said Chris Jeffers, local McDonald’s Owner/Operator. “The House is a wonderful part of our central Illinois community, and this is an important chance for all of us to support them so that they can continue to serve the families that need them.”
The Ronald McDonald House provides the necessities of home for families with a seriously ill child receiving treatment at one of Springfield’s medical facilities. At RMHCCI, families can stay together and find strength in numbers during a critical time. RMHCCI provides families with a private bed and bath, meals, laundry, parking and more in order to ease the stress of a difficult time in their lives. Families stay at the House at no charge to them, regardless of their length of stay. The House serves about 400 families each year. RMHCCI depends on the generous support of the community, especially through the Give a Little Love campaign. Support from the community is essential to keep the house running smoothly for families served at the House.
