(Chicago, IL) — The departure of another lieutenant in Democratic boss Michael Madigan’s political operation after harassment complaints is drawing fire from within the party. Lobbyist Shaw Decremer has been a longtime field operative for Madigan, but a Madigan spokesman says Decremer has no current assignment in the campaign. He was reportedly separated from Madigan’s operation after complaints from women on four House campaigns were made last week. At a Monday forum for Democratic governor’s race candidates, Daniel Biss called for Madigan to step down as state party chair. Madigan’s preferred candidate, J.B. Pritzker would only say “more needs to be done” about sexual harassment within the party’s organization.
