(Bentonville, AR) — Walmart is raising its minimum age requirement for people who want to buy guns. Those looking to purchase guns and ammunition at the nation’s largest retailer now need to be 21-years-old. The move comes two weeks after the deadly mass shooting at a South Florida high school. Walmart is also removing items from its website that resemble assault rifles like airsoft guns and toys. Walmart stopped selling assault-style rifles like the AR-15 back in 2015.
