U Of I Grad Students Want Grades Delayed As Strike Continues
(Urbana, IL) — Graduate students at the University of Illinois want to hold-up grades as part of their strike. The union that represents grad students yesterday said that the school’s latest offer isn’t enough to get them back into the classroom. The students want guaranteed tuition waivers, as well as bigger paychecks and more benefits. Grades for underclassmen are due this week, and there’s a move to have all graduate students hold-on to them. Their strike is entering its second week.
