A California man, arrested in Fayette County last summer, has been sentenced to four-years in prison. 54-year-old Rosario Gonzalez, who was pulled over on I-70, east of Vandalia for improper lane usage in August, had more than 900 grams of heroin inside his vehicle. Gonzalez was originally charged with a Class X felony count of controlled substance trafficking, but that count was dismissed as part of a plea agreement. According to authorities, the street value of the heroin was just under $650,000.
