According to a press release from MPD, Mattoon Police arrested Michelle R. Geer, 33 years of age of Shelbyville, IL, for an active Shelby County Warrant, as well as for the offense of Possession of Methamphetamine. The arrest occurred on 3/9/18 at 9:40pm in the 1800 block of Broadway Ave in Mattoon.
The charge alleges that on 3/9/18, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Ms. Geer, at which time it was discovered she had an active warrant for Possession of Stolen Property out of Shelby County. It is also alleged Ms. Geer was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine during the time of her arrest.
Dylan L. Woodworth, 30 years of age of Findlay, IL, was also arrested in connection with this traffic stop. Mr. Woodworth was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Hypodermic Needles, and Obstruction of Justice. These charges allege Mr. Woodworth was a passenger in Ms. Geer’s vehicle when stopped by police, and at the time of the stop, Mr. Woodworth had possession of Methamphetamine and a hypodermic needle. While speaking with police, Mr. Woodworth had initially provided police with a false name, due to him also having active arrest warrants for him.
Both Ms. Geer and Mr. Woodworth were taken to the Coles County Jail.
