Danville man arrested for DUI
PESOTUM, IL – Illinois State Police (ISP) District 10 is reporting the arrest of Contrelius A. Sloan, 31, of Danville, for Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol as well as other charges.
On Monday, April 2, 2018, at approximately 8:00 a.m., a District 10 Illinois State Police Officer was on patrol in Vermilion County and responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on I-74 eastbound at milepost 198.5. The trooper observed the vehicle was crashed in the eastbound ditch at that location, just three miles past the construction zone he had traveled through. The trooper made contact with the driver who was sitting in the front seat with the motor running. Sloan was placed under arrest for Wanted on Warrant. He was also arrested and charged with the following:
Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
Illegal Transportation of Alcohol by Driver
Wanted on Warrant
Aggravated Assault / Threatening Peace Officer
Driving While License Revoked
Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle
Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident
Improper Lane Usage
Sloan was processed at the Vermilion County Jail. A booking photo is available at the Vermilion County Jail.
