Quincy, IL – Illinois State Police (ISP) is seeking the public’s assistance with locating 69-year-old Mary Lou Anderson. She is a white female with brown hair and blue eyes, standing 5’04”, and weighing 135 lbs. Anderson was last walking on Rim Road near State Street east of Quincy on 05/01/18 at approximately 4:30 p.m. She was last seen wearing a white or light gray short-sleeve shirt and dark colored shorts.
Anderson was reported missing by her family on May 1, 2018. The Illinois State Police is working on this investigation with Adams County Sheriff’s Department. Based on information provided Anderson may be in possession of a firearm and maybe a danger to herself. Do not approach her, simply call 911 to request police assistance. Systematic searches by law enforcement are ongoing. No civilian searches are requested.
At approximately 6:00 p.m. May 1, 2018, Law Enforcement began searching the area of 928 Rim Road. The search continued through the early morning hours on May 2, and started again at daylight today. Law Enforcement is asking the public for any information on the whereabouts and that if you see something say something. Motorists are advised to avoid the area of State to Broadway as law enforcement continue the search for Anderson.
