The Illinois State Fair is giving you a chance to be the opening act for Brett Eldredge. This summer, nine county fairs will host qualifying rounds of State Fair Karaoke. The first and second place winners from the regional contests will move on to the finale at the Illinois State Fair on Friday, August 12th. The overall winner will be selected that day, and he or she will perform two songs that night prior to the Brett Eldredge concert. In order to compete in this contest, you must be a solo act, and at least 18 years old. The contest is free, but space is limited at each venue, so registration is highly recommended. You can do so at Illinois.gov/statefair. Regional contests will be at the following county fairs: Macon, Sangamon, Henry, Macoupin, Morgan, Marshall-Putnam, Menard, Adams, and of course, Edgar County, where Brett is from.
