(Washington, DC) — It will be easier for federal agencies to fire employees under new executive orders issued by President Trump. The President signed three orders today aimed to roll back civil-service protections federal workers have enjoyed for decades. The orders will change rules to make it easier and quicker for poor performing employees to be released. They also require agencies to negotiate union contracts in less than a year and cap the amount of time federal employees can spend on union-related business. Conservatives praised the moves while public employee unions called it an attack on federal workers.
