(Brooklyn, NY) — Three utility workers in Brooklyn are being treated for burns following a gas leak explosion in Williamsburg. National Grid says they were taking reading levels and excavating at Union Avenue and Second Street at 12:45 this morning when a spark ignited an explosion and fire. The utility says the workers suffered minor burns with two expected to be treated and released from the hospital. No power outages in the area have been reported.
