The Friends of the Charleston Carnegie Public Library will hold its winter book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, February 19 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, February 20 at the Charleston Carnegie Public Library, 712 Sixth Street. The book sale room is located on the second floor of the Library, off of the Reading Room. Please enter through the main entrance on 5th Street and follow the signs to the sale. The Library is handicapped accessible.
Hardcover books, audio books, DVDs, and vinyl records are $2. Paperbacks, children’s books, music CDs, and puzzles & games are 50 cents. Members of the Friends of the Charleston Carnegie Public Library receive a 50% discount on their purchases. You can become a Friends member at the sale. Individual memberships are $10 and Family memberships are $15. We accept cash or checks.
To make it easier to find your favorites, the books are sorted into categories such as Mystery, Romance, Sci-fi/Fantasy, Cook Books, History, Biography, Gardening, Home Improvement, General Non-fiction, General Fiction, Children’s books, and Youth fiction.
Featured at this sale are a large selection of vinyl records, James Patterson mysteries, and Danielle Steel romances.
All proceeds from the Friends’ book sale support programming at the Charleston Carnegie Public Library.
