According to WCIA online, one educator group is not for the new education proposals that include a budget. The Illinois Education Association (IEA) has looked into the bills and they include a two-year property tax freeze. Which if passed will mean most schools will not be able to adjust their budgets if operating costs go up. The bills include items to cut back on are physical education that students are required to have and to cut completely driver’s education from public schools. The IEA is asking lawmakers to find a different end to the budget impasse and to take out those proposals for cutting back on education.
