This week is Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Illinois.
All week, the National Weather Service will be doing their part to make sure the public is educated, aware, and prepared for nature’s destruction.
Tornado sirens will go off Tuesday, as part of an effort to test equipment and make sure we’re all aware and observant when severe weather is imminent.
Officials from the NWS Lincoln office are also continuing to conduct storm spotter training throughout central Illinois.
