According to the National Weather Service, southerly winds will gust from 30 to 30 mph at times today, causing some travel difficulty for high profile vehicles on east-west oriented roadways.
A few thunderstorms are possible after midnight, but no severe weather is expected.
There is a better chance for thunderstorms Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening. A few of the storms may become strong south of Effingham to Olney, with hail and gusty winds.
Rain is likely through Saturday night, and there is a 50% chance of showers on Sunday. Another round of rain will arrive Monday morning, with new precipitation between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.
