Mississippi River Conference Focuses On Flooding
(Moline, IL) — Towns up and down the Mississippi River all have one thing in common, the fear of another flood. Flood management and flood plain planning dominated this week’s Mississippi River Conference in the Quad Cities. The meetings wrapped-up yesterday. Kathy Wine with the group River Action says it’s important for local leaders to meet before the water gets high in the spring or summer to plan for what will happen the next time the Mississippi jumps its banks.
