John Deere Wins Yellow And Green Trademark Case
(Louisville, KY) — John Deere owns the colors green and yellow when it comes to farm machines. A federal judge in Kentucky this week ruled that a South Dakota equipment company violated Deere’s trademark by painting their sprayers green and yellow. Deere has trademarked the color combination since 1988 for tractors and lawnmowers, in 2010 the company extended the trademark to ag equipment that is towed behind tractors. This is the 40th case where Deere has asked or told another company to stop using their iconic color combo.
