Governor Rauner Won’t Push For Medicaid Work Requirement
(Peoria, IL) — Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner says he supports the idea of asking some of the people on the state’s healthcare rolls to work or volunteer. But the governor says he won’t make it a priority this year. Rauner told reporters last week that he supports a new federal rule that allows states to set work requirements for Medicaid recipients. But he said he first wanted to make sure the state had enough jobs.
