Bank Branches Closing At Rapid Pace
(Undated) — Bank branches continue to close at an increasing rate across the country. The “Wall Street Journal” reports that in the 12 months ending in June 2017, more than seven-hundred bank locations closed their doors. Thousands of locations have closed since the financial crisis. A lot of the locations were in large cities where branches were consolidated due to a lack of foot traffic. Banks are opening new locations, but not enough to make up for the number of closures.
