Illinois Higher Ed Board Approves Smaller Budget Request
(Springfield, IL) — College presidents in Illinois are walking away from the state capitol with less money than they hoped for. The Illinois Board of Higher Education on Tuesday approved a nearly three-and-a-half-billion-dollar budget for the state’s colleges and universities. That’s about 100-million less than what the presidents wanted. Lawmakers must now approve the request.
