At least one person is dead after thunderstorms swept across the Mississippi Valley into Ohio Saturday. A 79-year-old Kentucky woman was killed in her home near Logan when it was hit by a possible tornado. Up to four inches of rain in places were worsening flooding conditions by early Sunday. In Ohio, Governor John Kasich declared an emergency in 17 counties along the Ohio River and in the southern part of the state because of high water and storm damage. Flooding in the Midwest claimed at least three lives this week, including a one-year-old girl in Michigan. Hundreds have been evacuated as the waters rose.
