The threat of wildfires remains high in Oklahoma and Texas today. Fires in Oklahoma have been burning for several days, scorching more than 350-thousand acres and forcing entire towns to evacuate. The largest blaze is in Dewey County, where more than 240-thousand acres have burned as of this morning. At least one death has been reported. A 61-year-old man died of fire-related injuries in Roger Mills County. Oklahoma’s governor has declared a state of emergency for 52 of the state’s 77 counties.
