Texas Town’s Fun Run Short And Sweet
(Boerne, TX) — A Texas town is hosting a fun run with free beer and doughnuts. The first ever Boerne zero-point-five-K Run — that’s right, a half-K run — will begin Saturday at a local brewery and end at another about a third-of-a-mile away. Participants get a free beer both at the start and finish line, with a doughnut and coffee station about 164 yards into the race. VIPs not wanting to be physically taxed can pay an extra 25-bucks to have volunteers drive them the length of the 16-hundred-40-feet and over the finish line in a 1963 Volkswagen bus. The run is sold out and the money will benefit the Blessings in a Backpack charity for underprivileged children.
