NASA Robot To Drill Mars
(Washington, DC) — NASA is sending a robot to Mars to drill beneath the planet’s surface. The Mars InSight spacecraft will launch early Saturday morning from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. NASA says the robotic geologist will also take quake measurements and track the wobbly rotation of Mars on its axis. The one-billion-dollar U.S.-European mission is the first dedicated to studying beneath the surface of Mars.
